i would actually go for something a bit contraversial here and say jesus - think about it, no one has caused more wars, more suffering, and more death, than people fighting over him

Good shout Tim although the same could be said of any other Deity throughout time.
The war of Christians/Muslims is a current favourite but its been the same through history. It's the problem with Religion.
I'd say there are a few more blood soaked Religious figures than Jesus though.
